The Chimay Red Cap, or "Premiere" is the oldest of the Chimays, having first been brewed by the Trappist fathers in 1862.  The current recipe was developed just after World War II.  This beer is a deep copper colour with a subtle apricot aroma and a rich, balanced taste.

We also sell cheese from Chimay:  Chimay Grand Cru and Chimay Poteaupre for perfect pairing with the beer.

Taste:  Silky with a light bitter touch
